Vacancy: team member Mobile Monday Amsterdam

Monday, October 6th, 2008

Update:

We’r happy to announce that we found two new team members, so the vacancy is closed.

Original post:

The Amsterdam team of the Global Mobile Monday (MoMo) initiative is seeking reinforcement of its team. In 1,5 years, MoMo Amsterdam has become the leading conference/ networking event for those passionate about digital media in general and mobile in specific. Our events (with max 450 seats available for our >1800 member community) are sold out within hours, attracting a broad audience of creatives, developers, marketers, directors, designers, advertisers, bloggers and journalists. Even though our events are free, we attract speakers of the highest level from all over the world – and we always experiment with innovative ways of involving the audience (backchannel, video streaming, live/ sms voting, different settings etc).

MoMo wants to continue to innovate and reinvent itself, guaranteeing the event to remain on the ‘must attend’ list of our community; and to continue to generate the buzz, PR and energy it currently does.

We are looking for an extraordinary person to further ‘rejuvenate’ and refresh the team, with the following characteristics:

  • passionate
  • energetic
  • ambitious
  • creative
  • professional
  • genuine team player
  • knowledge of/ passion for “digital” in general and “mobile” in specific is a pre, but not a must
  • able to spend 1 day a week; incl. one weekly meeting in the evening (currently Thursdays)

Please note that the MoMo team effort is not paid for – only expenses (travel etc) will be covered. But in return, you will gain much honour and respect for your efforts from the community, as well as a huge network.

If you are interested in joining our very special team, please send us a note with your ideas and motivation, and anything else you wish to share with us. There will be a pre-selection based on your short note – the most inspiring/ fitting will be invited for a personal meeting.

Please send your reaction to:
claire at mobilemonday dot nl

If you have any further questions about this vacancy, please contact Claire Boonstra at +31646601765. More information about Mobile Monday Amsterdam: www.mobilemonday.nl.
