Roeland Stekelenburg (LinkedIn) – NOS
Roeland Stekelenburg is Head of the New Media department at NOS. He searches for innovative ways to use media in new conceptual ways, forms, distribution methods, new markets, and new audiences, but not the technical innovation. The NOS mobile application, which was released this summer, is an example of such innovation.

Roeland had various functions in journalism before joining NOS. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Communication Science from the University of Amsterdam.

Erik Rovers (LinkedIn) – Ilse Media
Erik Rovers is responsible for Business Development Mobile at Ilse Media. He has a portfolio of mobile websites including NU.nl, Startpagina.mobi, Kieskeurig and web-log.mobi.

Erik has a Master of Science Degree in Business Studies from the University of Groningen and has always worked in the telecommunications sector since 2000.

Patrick Loppé is Channel Manager DFT.nl & Mobiel at De Telegraaf. This April De Telegraaf launched their renewed mobile website. During the first half year De Telegraaf experienced a significant increase in the volume of unique visitors per month and a doubling amount of pageviews. During his talk he will share some of the learnings van De Telegraaf.

Gunnar Garfors (LinkedIn) – NRK
Gunnar Garfors is the Director of Development in NRK’s Division of Developments. He has been overseeing the development of various mobile services, including mobile TV and MMS videos on TV, both of which Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation was first in Europe to launch.

Garfors has held a number of presentations around the world on NRK’s leading position on mobile services. He is originally a journalist, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting from Falmouth College of Arts in the UK and a Master of Management from BI, Norwegian School of Management. The 30-year-old has been working in various media houses before joining NRK in 2000.

Keep an eye on this post for updates as we await the final speaker confirmations.

IMPORTANT – Make sure you arrive early! The venue will be packed, so make sure you arrive early to avoid a long wait for the registration desk. Doors will be open from 15:00h – we are looking forward to welcome you!

This morning we received a confirmation that Rachel Hinman will provide a contribution to MoMo #7. Rachel Hinman is a mobile design strategist for Adaptive Path with over a decade of design industry experience. She is a strong believer in approaching mobile design and strategy from an empathic, human-centered perspective.

Rachel’s passion for people, design, and the belief that people can use technology to improve their lives has been the driving force of her career for the last ten years. At Adaptive Path, Rachel applies her unique empathic perspective to the design process, enabling innovative solutions that have a positive impact on people’s lives. Currently Rachel blogs her ideas about mobile design by posting sketches, drawings, and prototype ideas for 90 consecutive days (read her blog: 90 Mobiles in 90 Days).

Prior to joining Adaptive Path, Rachel worked within Yahoo!’s mobile group, employing user-centered methods to inform the design and strategy of Yahoo!’s mobile products. Much of her work-to-date has focused on improving the experience of accessing internet content on a mobile device.

Rachel’s innate sensitivity to people and culture have proven powerful skills in the field, enabling her to successfully lead research studies on mobile phone usage in the US, Europe, and Asia. She writes and speaks frequently on the topic of mobile research and design and was recently a featured author in Mobile Persuasion: 20 Perspectives on the Future of Behavioral Change, edited by BJ Fogg and Dean Eckles.

Rachel received a Masters Degree in Design Planning from the Institute of Design in Chicago. Her clients and previous employers have included IDEO, Microsoft, Yahoo! Mobile, Nokia, General Motors, and Kaiser Permanente.

What to expect from the event? First of all we are constantly striving to improve our events. As a result, we’ve got a few new tricks up our sleeve for the format and setup of the next MoMo event. We won’t spoil the fun by giving too much away, but this change means that we will only have 300 places available during MoMo #7. During the event we will discuss topics like business models, analytics, and user experience and usability. At this moment we are waiting for the last confirmations. Stay tuned for further updates on the program in the time to come. At this moment we have received confirmations from:
